Singer Associates Public Relations is Finalist for New York Public Relations Award

Singer Associates Public Relations and Public Affairs is a finalist for the prestigious SABRE Award from the Homes PR Report, it was announced today in New York City.

The SABRE Awards, which stands for Superior Achievement in Branding and Reputation, are given to the best public relations, public affairs and crisis communications campaigns of the year.  The Singer agency was nominated for the national honor for its work with the City of San Bruno to gain $70 million in restitution for the city after the PG&E explosion and fire of Sept. 9, 2010.

In addition to the Singer Associates Public Relations and Public Affairs nomination, Edelman and Ketchum topped the list of firms whose work is shortlisted for the 2013 Americas region Gold and Platinum SABRE Awards, which will be presented at The Holmes PR Report annual awards dinner, to be held  at Cirpriani 42nd Street in New York on May 7.

Clients of Edelman and Ketchum each have 26 campaigns among the finalists, with Burson-Marseller in third place with 17, and Weber Shandwick fourth, with 16 campaigns on the short-list. The finalists were selected from more than 1,800 entries to this year’s SABRE Awards competition.

There were multiple nominations for numerous other firms, including Fleishman-Hillard, GolinHarris and Ogilvy Public Relations (eight each); Citizen Relations (six); Cohn & Wolfe and MSLGroup (five each); Carmichael Lynch Spong, Cone Communications, Coyne PR, Exponent, Fast Horse, Jeffrey Group, Padilla Speer Beardsley and RF Binder (four each); and Current, DeVries, Fahlgren Mortine, Finn Partners, Kaplow, M Booth, rbb Public Relations, and Ruder Finn.

The winners of the Silver SABRE Awards, which recognize excellence in content creation, were announced here.

Earlier this year, Singer was awarded national honors from PR News in two categories for the same work, receiving  both the award for best issues management campaign and best media relations campaign at a ceremony in Washington, D.C.
