Transbay Transit Center Project
Considered the “Grand Central Station of the West,” the Transbay Transit Center Project is a mass transit plan that brings together in one place California High Speed Rail, BART, the nine Bay Area counties’ bus systems and 2,600 units of transit village housing (35 percent affordable to working families). Singer Associates continues to manage the communications and community outreach for the $4 billion project in downtown San Francisco.
Chevron
Singer Associates was brought on board to develop and execute a communications strategy that would actively prepare Chevron and its project contractors to handle a variety of public relations situations while the Castro Cove cleanup and restoration in Richmond underwent planning and implementation. Additionally, Singer Associates has helped Chevron communicate its goals for upgrading the Richmond refining facilities while improving environmental controls and performance.
Tourtelot Property Cleanup
Singer Associates worked closely with the City of Benicia, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the California Department of Toxic Substances Control in conducting community outreach related to the environmental cleanup of the 220-acre Tourtelot Property located in Benicia, Calif. As part of this effort, Singer facilitated meetings of the Community Advisory Group, managed multiple evacuations of approximately 200 nearby residents so that intrusive activities related to ordnance recovery could be conducted, and acted as the community liaison for this award-winning project.
Anschutz Acquisition of the San Francisco Examiner
Singer Associates provided corporate communications and public affairs support for the sale of the historic San Francisco Examiner to the Anschutz Investment Corp.
