Singer Associates, on behalf of its longstanding client Stockbridge Capital Partners, handled the media announcement in conjunction with Sam Nazarion’s SBE (Stockbridge’s operating partner), of the acquisition and renovation of the iconic Las Vegas strip Property and its Casbar Theater Lounge.
San Francisco Bar Pilots Association/Bay Area Oil Spill
The Cosco Busan, a 900-foot long freighter departing from the Port of Oakland, struck one of the towers of the Bay Bridge causing some of the vessel’s fuel tanks to rupture, spilling some 58,000 gallons of bunker fuel into the San Francisco Bay.
Singer Associates was retained immediately to promote and protect the integrity of the San Francisco Bar Pilots. The Agency took command and began demonstrating to the media and the public that the San Francisco Bar Pilots work under the highest professional standards possible for ship handling, hold an impressive safety record and have been vigilant stewards of the environment in Northern California.
Don and Doris Fisher’s Contemporary Art Museum at the Presidio
Doris and Don Fisher recently unveiled an elegant conceptual design for the proposed Contemporary Art Museum at the Presidio (CAMP), which will house the Fisher’s collection of modern art and significant art education programs for the public.
Singer Associates was hired by GAP founders Don and Doris Fisher to manage the national media announcement and press conference surrounding the project.
Sunset Scavenger Company Recycling and Composting Advertising Campaign
Every year, San Francisco sends more than 450,000 tons of recyclable and compostable material to the landfill. With the challenge of maximizing recycling services to reduce waste and preserve our landfills, San Francisco’s local waste company, Sunset Scavenger Company, turned to Singer Associates to institute a recycling and composting public awareness program. Singer administered a citywide outdoor advertising campaign to create awareness to meet and exceed San Francisco’s goal of 75 percent recycling citywide by 2010.
Transbay International Design & Development Competition
A client since 2004, Singer Associates developed and managed the communications and outreach for the Transbay Joint Powers Authority’s International Design & Development Competition which led to the selection of Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects to design the new $4 billion “Grand Central Station of the West” and adjacent Transit Tower in downtown San Francisco. Hines was selected to develop the Transit Tower. The project is scheduled to break ground this Fall starting with the temporary bus facility.
ESPN Town Hall Forum: Barry Bonds – “Beyond 756”
Hosted in San Francisco’s Palace of Fine Arts, ESPN asked Singer Associates to coordinate community and media relations for Barry Bonds’ “Beyond 756” live broadcast town hall discussion. The event featured a panel discussion of esteemed sports experts focusing on Barry Bonds, his quest to break baseball’s all-time home run record and his legacy.
International and Corporate Leaders Discuss Climate Change, Profitability of Reducing Carbon Emissions
When The Climate Group, Sir Nicholas Stern, McKinsey Global Institute and prominent business leaders met in San Francisco to address the economics of global warming, Singer Associates was asked to coordinate the communications and event details for the far-reaching and candid discussion, “Climate Change: The Bottom Line.” The event marked the first opportunity for U.S. business leaders to engage in a private briefing with Sir Nicholas, author of the Stern Review on the Economics of Climate Change.
