Singer Associates was hired by Lennar to assist in the creation of a $250 million redevelopment plan in the San Francisco neighborhood, Hunters Point.

The Solution

The project had to take into account a wide range of issues including the 500-acre Navy shipyard environmental cleanup, the transfer of the property, and the needs of the immediate Bayview/Hunters Point neighborhood to restore the shipyard as a viable source of jobs, housing and center for community life. In order to mitigate sensitive public health and environmental issues, Singer Associates created and executed a successful dust and asbestos mitigation outreach plan to inform and educate the community on the redevelopment process.
